At what point do we finally say, enough is enough? Here we sit in America, an (arguably) historically Christian country, and watch it go to hell in a handbag. We continue down the road of depravity, and this path, unarguably, influences us and our children, in a very bad way.
When do we pack our bags and head for high ground? At what point is enough, enough? Kind of like being punched in the throat, over and over again, eventually you must avoid that situation.
When do we cry "uncle" and leave?

Crying "Uncle"

I think this is an important question, but the answer seems subjective to the individual; the breaking point for one person isn't necessarily that of the next, or there would be a mass exodus. If memory serves, there is at least one passage in scripture that calls us to care for the country in which we live or are placed. It seems a shame to 'abandon' what was called home, and what was fought for and paid with the blood, sweat and tears of patriots over the generations, but there comes a point when the rot of progressivism appears irreversible. Of course, this also begs the question...to what redoubt would people of faith and character retreat? Some stay barely ahead of the curve and move to a rural area away from the city, others go a more extreme route and expatriate to another country altogether. Again, it's subjective to the individual: how much does he or she wish to invest in the sinking ship, how far away do they see the writing on the wall, and how far are they willing and able to retreat.
ReplyDeleteDoes the Assink clan of which I'm a fan have a plan to escape from Depravistan before Christianity is banned?
